Bobryshev retains red plate with second in Lamezia Terme

Evgeny Bobryshev continued his run of strong pre-season form to take second overall in the second round of the Italian International MX series over the weekend.

As the Russian demonstrated a real show of strength and intention ahead of the 2016 MXGP season, his seventh with Honda on the CRF450RW, second overall is enough to retain the lead of the Championship.

Many of the Grand Prix riders compete in this championship as a traditional warm-up to the season, and just one round remains – in Ottobiano, Sardinia this coming weekend, 14 February.

Gautier Paulin did not compete over the weekend, having already committed to returning to the USA to continue his winter training immediately after the opening round last week.
