With just one week between races, Michele Cervellin is gearing up for the ninth round of the FIM world championship as it rolls into Ernee for the MXGP of France.

Cervellin is no stranger to the track as he raced here in 2015 when he represented Italy in the Motocross of Nations. This is also the home GP of his mechanic Dominique. The hard pack track should suit the Italian as he favours this type of terrain. Temperatures are set to soar this weekend to 30 degrees, but this will not be an issue for Cervellin as he has performed well in the warmer climates.

Ernée is a purpose built hard pack motocross track in the small village of Ernée in North- Western France. It is famous for its steep drop off’s and hill climbs. It is also extremely popular with spectators as they can view 90% of the track from the opposing hill. It was used in the 2005 and 2015 Motocross of Nations.

The MX2 qualifying race starts at 16h15 on Saturday 27th May local time

I raced for Italy in the Motocross of Nations here in 2015 and I really like the track. It is the home GP of my mechanic Dominique so it is a special race for us. My aim is to get a better result then I got in Germany as I know I can do it. I think it is possible here as I really like the track and I feel good on the bike again.

Michele proved in Germany what he is capable of so we will expect him to do the same again this weekend, especially as this sort of track should suit him. Much the same as Tim, Michele raced here at the Motocross of Nations in 2015, so he has an idea of what to expect and we look forward to seeing what he can do
