Team HRC’s Evgeny Bobryshev and Gautier Paulin will line up behind the gate for the second in the American back-to-back pairing of races this weekend, and the final round of the 2016 MXGP season.

After its debut at Charlotte Motor Speedway Dirt Track last weekend, Bobby will once again climb aboard the all-new 2017 CRF450RW. On its first outing it very nearly took the Russian #777 to a top-three finish last Saturday. With every outing the team, and Bobby, are learning so much about this new machine and its performance potential, and confidence is high for this weekend in Glen Helen.

Round 18 will be held this weekend at the legendary Glen Helen raceway in San Bernardino, two hours north east of Los Angeles. As the temperature is set to soar in the desert, the competition will be just as hot as the Europeans take on their American counterparts for the second week in succession, but on a more traditional and typical motocross track.

Evgeny Bobryshev 777

“It was great to run the new CRF in Charlotte last weekend, and now I’ve got a taste for it and can see even more what it’s capable of I can't wait to use it again this weekend. Of course we knew from testing that the bike is really fast, but it always takes some time to learn a new bike in race mode, and I know that the more we use it, the faster we will keep going on it. I think we’ll already be stronger this weekend in Glen Helen just with the experience of last Saturday under our belts, and all this running is helping us a lot in preparation for next year. I like the track too as it’s fast and flowing with good ground, so I really want to end this season on a high.”

Gautier Paulin 21

“Since last weekend I’ve had a little pain in my ankle but I’ve also been able to do some mountain biking so I hope it'll be ok for this weekend. We’ve had a little down time as well as working to be prepared for the last round of the season in Glen Helen. It’s more of a traditional motocross track than we saw last weekend in Charlotte and it’s nice and fast, so I hope we can go well there. I’m looking forward to a good weekend.”

Roger Harvey

HRC General Manager - MXGP

“This weekend in Glen Helen will be tough because of the weather conditions – even though Charlotte was hot during the day, it was a little cooler in the evening for the races whereas this weekend it will be sweltering. It’s the end of a long season that’s been very successful for Honda and HRC, and with Bobby riding the new 2017 CRF450RW, we’re hoping to culminate with the sort of results we started the season with.”
