Spirited fight back for Bobryshev after crash disappointment

“We’ve had a good feeling here all day and the speed has been there too, with fastest in timed practice, so I’m disappointed with the crash in the qualifying race. I was behind Shaun and I just lost my front end. I was in the pack and I couldn’t see so much, and I think I hit a tree root on the inside of the corner. I lost the front so quick so I couldn’t react or do anything before I was on the floor. From last place I came back to eleventh, but it’s a shame because we have a good feeling here. I feel ok physically as it was just a little crash, but I’m disappointed. I didn’t have the best start today, so tomorrow I just need to focus on my start, and still from the middle of the gates it’s not so bad for tomorrow’s races.”

“To be honest Bobby’s race was made hard because he missed the start a little which put him in the pack, so then it was a fight right through. He made just a little mistake turning to come back down the hill, but it put him down and to the back of the grid so he had to fight through again. The track is fast and flowing so it’s difficult to make up time, so considering that his ride through to 11th was ok. Guys started well today from the 11th gate, so I don’t think this will be to his detriment tomorrow.”
