Living out his childhood dream, Ferruccio Zanchi joined Team HRC to kickstart the CRF250R programme for the 2024 MX2 World Motocross Championship.

Background

After a successful youth career, which involved multiple moto wins in the EMX125 and EMX250 class, Italian rider Ferruccio Zanchi stepped up to the MX2 class in 2024 under the Team HRC awning.

Coming from Florence, the youngster was seen as the perfect rider to restart the CRF250R programme and get Honda back challenging in the highly competitive MX2 series. It was a tough ask for the rookie but he had the full support and backing of everyone in Europe and Japan and was helped as much as possible, ending up with a very successful campaign.

Scoring consistent points in pretty much every GP he rode in, the #73 ended up his first full season in 10th place in the series, with a number of excellent results. Indeed, it was sign of his progression, and his determination that he had he very best points tally in the very last round in Cozar, Spain and that has given him confidence that after another few months on the bike, he will be up there with the best MX2 riders in the world, come round one in Argentina.
