HRC MXGP fly to Frauenfeld
HRC MXGP head to Switzerland this weekend for the second in a trio of back-to-back races, as we head towards the final few races of the season.
Tim had success here last year with a podium finish. He had his work cut out when a crash hindered his hope of a win in the first race and then he endured a nail biting battle with Cairoli.
Bobryshev showed early promise here last year in qualifying but it all fell apart for the Russian in the race. ‘Bobby’ has shown that he has the speed to be in contention for a podium finish, so now he will need to put it all together this weekend.
Frauenfeld was a new track on the calendar in 2016 and is a man-made track on flat ground. The track is surrounded by grand stands to make easy viewing for spectators.
The MXGP qualifying race starts at 17h10 local time on Saturday 12th August.

Last weekend was a tough one for me and this season I haven't had much luck. I am going to train even harder this week in the lead up to Switzerland. Even though I am training hard and pushing hard, to give it my best every weekend I will try hard to give it that little bit more. I know In Switzerland the ground is hard pack which suits me more, the track is also really nice so I am looking ahead and looking forward to a better weekend.

Following everything that happened last weekend, I had to go and get my back checked out just to make sure it was ok for racing in Switzerland. Once I got the OK with that I will be training on hard pack for the rest of the week in the lead up to the race. Switzerland is a nice track, I am not sure if they have done any major changes since last year or if they will do the same. I just need to put everything together for this weekend and get back on top.

Switzerland was a new track on the calendar last year and we saw success here with Tim on the podium. The track here is hard pack which is much more suited to his style. Tim's disappointment with last weekend in Lommel should drive him for a better weekend. Bobryshev has had a run of bad luck last weekend especially in the second race when he was making progress and was taken out by a lapped rider on so now he has the all clear for his back, hopefully he can pull it altogether this weekend.
