This weekend will see Team HRC head to Uddevalla, one hour north of Gothenburg, for the MXGP of Sweden. After the mixed weather conditions in Germany, Sweden should prove to be warm and dry.

After an overall podium finish and a moto win at Teutschenthal last time out, Gautier Paulin will be keen to continue this podium form and stand on the rostrum again this weekend. This weekend will be the first time Paulin has ridden the Swedish track since the big change last year and the Frenchman is looking forward to the challenge.

An unfortunate first corner incident kept Evgeny Bobryshev from also standing on the podium, despite making a remarkable comeback in the second moto. After enjoying some time at home, the popular Russian rider will be aiming to convert this speed to a podium finish this weekend.

As in previous years, the Honda Sweden Academy will be running on Friday to help nurture the future stars of motocross and, as part of Honda’s commitment to these young riders, Bobryshev, Paulin and Jean-Michel Bayle will be in attendance to offer their guidance and expertise.

Roger Harvey

HRC General Manager - MXGP

"The guys built the momentum nicely in Germany last time out, and now it's absolutely necessary that we keep that going in Sweden. With the championship the way it is at the moment, it's wide open so it's imperative that we're finishing on the podium to really capitalise. The team are working flat out and the testing this year has been really positive, but especially the outing before Germany. Things really came together there and I think that helped both Bobby and Gautier and was reflected in the results at Teutschenthal, so we need to carry that into Sweden this weekend."

Gautier Paulin 21

"I'm really having a lot of fun on the bike at the moment and I'm feeling really good. I've had some really good training in Belgium since the last race also. Last year they made a big change to the track in Sweden and I didn't ride it then so I don't know exactly how it will be this weekend, but we'll go there and soon see. Right now Cairoli has a little problem but is still riding, and we don't know about Max with his injury, but this is motocross. I've been there in the past too, so I'm just riding my season race-by-race."

Evgeny Bobryshev 777

"I went straight from Germany to Russia and it was really nice to see my parents and do some training from home at a good track I have really close by. I've been riding in the morning and afternoon and just really enjoying my time. Sweden's always been a nice track, though I missed it last year, but to be honest I haven't been thinking about the race too much - I've just been doing my training and riding and will just go to Sweden and enjoy it. Then I know the speed will come as I'm feeling strong and race-by-race I'm still growing my potential."
