Team HRC MX2 head to the penultimate round of the 2017 season this weekend at Assen.

Although this will be the first time Michele Cervellin has raced the CRF250RW here, he has raced here in the EMX series so is no stranger to the white sands that grace the historic TT circuit once a year. The track has 25,000 cubic meters of sand dropped on it for the weekend which transforms the road circuit into a full motocross track. The track incorporates much of the road circuit including the final corner and main straight.

The first MX2 race starts at 16h25 local time on Saturday 9th September.

Assen is a tough race as the sand here is so fine and slippery but I do train a lot in local Belgium sand tracks so am ok with this. I have actually raced here before when I was in the EMX and the way they transform the track is pretty cool. After last weekend in America, I am looking forward to progressing on the 2018 CRF250RW now that I have got a better feeling for the bike.

Cervellin spends quite a big part of his season training in Belgium and the Netherland, so the conditions here at Assen should suit him as he adapts to the 2018 CRF250RW. As we have seen at every race this season the start is critical, probably more so now than it has ever been so this will be one area of concentration for Cervellin this weekend
